Freezing Fingers

This is a hoot. Being a fun girdle traverse, this is excellent practice for the aspiring aid climber or an endurance challenge for the visiting boulderer. The climber passes many of the bolts on the other routes and essentially traverses the crag left to right. At times during the traverse, the climber may find one's self less than 3 feet off the ground!! This boulder traverse will most likely be freed soon. It is a pretty lengthy band of rock so the traverse gives you distance. First climbed on a snowy wintery day.

Crux is getting off the ground. This is also on The Freezer. This is a hard little route, too! If you can get off the ground on this one, you can do the whole route. Best TRed for the moment, I would presume.

Another addition to the venerable Freezer Buttress. This little climb actually has a few cool moves. Maybe that is really subjective though! Destined for not alot of other visitors, and probably won't clean up until the next millenium. You gotta love this place for other reasons than the rock!

On the second tier above the creek. So far only route but there is room for quite a few more, all harder. Climb the steep face past on important jug that's a little loose. Plan to glue it at some point but haven't been back in a while.

Crux is down low. This is the far right, possibly shorter route that also offers a moderate alternative to the others. 4 bolts protect this short pitch.

This is the bolted line on the left side up a overhanging short face of the Freezer Crag. The second climb from the left and just to the right of the shallow corner. Drilled ground up. These are fun routes if they are in your backyard and you really don't want to drive somewhere to go climbing! The rock is still somewhat chossy so be forewarned!
