This fun line makes for a good warmup for the harder routes in the cave.  Scramble up through some dirt and loose rock to the first bolt about 15ft up.  Fortunately from here the route improves greatly.  From the ledge head up using a combination of holds to a big move right on slightly smaller holds.  From here pull out of the steep stuff and enjoy the slabby intriguing finish.

This line climbs up the orange swath of rock just left of Brutus. Various pockets and chipped edges lie between powerful pulls. Some of the best crimp and edge climbing round out the headwall which shares the anchors of Brutus

Shares the start of Bowser and Mars.  Climb up through edges in orange rock on Mars, just below the roof cut right past a deadpoint through sloping holds. Climb straight up into fine edge climbing in gray rock.

A Mentor Cave endurance route, links the most difficult climbing on Bowser and Wowser. Start on Bowser, continue traversing through the roof across the lip to join the pockets and huecos on Wowser.

On the left side of the cave proper, shouldery pulls between pockets through the roof lead up to edges and sloping pockets on the finishing headwall.

A brief boulder problem compared to many of the other routes in the VRG.  Long pulls through the first few bolts lead to a very powerful and sustained V9 boulder problem crux.

A line of bolts left of The Mentor through the steepest section of the Mentor Cave. Difficulty unknown.

Left leaning diagonal sequence that shares the same finish as Mentor past the large/final roof to the head wall.  

Large juggy flake leads up to a reachy pocket move past the dreaded "devil bush".

A harder version of the Hype. Sloping edges and pinches down low, the difficulty eases above the powerful crux.

Shares the start of Bowser, continue straight up at third bolt through bouldery crimp moves (left most line of bolts after leaving Bowser). Stout edges in the black rock cap off this power style route.

Tenuous pulls between sloping edges and pinches below the high roof. Powerful route that joins the finish of Mentor.

Super classic!  If you can stand the road noise and the guys breaking into your car, this is the route you want to be doing while you are here.  

  Climbs out the Mentor cave (just right of the Blasphemy wall) on great pockets, edges, sidepulls... the whole kitchen sink.  Very Steep! 

  Somewhere toward the middle you even get a leg thread to cop a rest.   

  Once you pull out of the cave onto the headwall, you lose sight of your belayer - and the road noise ensures you can't communicate verbally. Just a heads up.   

  In spite of the irritations of the VRG, this route still gets 4 stars.

Sharpish pockets and crimps climb up low angle gray rock to the right of Brutus.

This unique line climbs The Mentor through the roof and then traverses left across obvious pockets, huecos, and edges to join the anchors of Sensory Overload.

The Mentor Cave is the obvious cave on the right side of the southern walls.  Routes are a little shorter, but steeper.
