A steep section climbs past three or four bolts and lower angle terrain brings you to anchors

Easier climbing leads to a small bulge.  A tricky boulder problem with a very key hidden jug will lead you through the bulge to a pumpy finish.

Fun low angle climbing with a few steeper 5.7 sections.

Wander past a few bolts and through a distinct crux.  Tricky and a bit thought provoking.  One of the best routes at the upper cliff.

A steeper short section leads past two bolts to easier ground.

This route follows the line of bolts up the overhanging wall past multiple boulders sections with good holds in between.  Sustained and puppy.

The easiest route on the upper band.  A nice position with lots of bolts and fun climbing make for a great early lead.

A steep tricky start leads to easier climbing above.

Follow a line of bolts weaving your way around or over a few bulges.  Fun climbing!

Low angle climbing with a few 5.6 moves sprinkled in.

Multiple steep and tricky sections with good rests lead to an easy finish.

Begin on a detached pillar, climbing past a couple bolts. At the top of the pillar, step across to the main wall and continue climbing on blocky terrain to an anchor the top of the formation. The rock quality probably won't inspire confidence, but the length of the climb might be refreshing if you've only climbed at the lower cliff.

The name is a reference to the classic novel "Zen and The Art of Motorcycle Maintenance".... and the rock quality of the upper cliff. This was the first route I bolted at Wallula

The route starts at a large rock platform right next to the trail.  Climb the shallow corner past to bolts to a ledge.  From here the rout steepens and contains a few bouldery cruxes. The last few bolts can be pumpy as the route is difficult to read and climbing is slow going.  Bolted on Mr. T's birthday!

This route ascends the slight overhang a few feet left of Choss and the Art of Bolt Placement.    A line of bolts in a shallow groove leads you through a few thought provoking sections and easier ground.

Climb a shallow low angle dish past a few bolts.  The route steepens as the groove becomes a corner.  Push and stem your way up the well featured corner to the top.

Big moves on good holds get you through the initial overhang and to easier ground. Jugs lead you up the overhang past a distinct crux on smaller holds and to the top.
