Route starts at obvious sloper rail. Throw out right to a jug and try to figure your way up to a large ledge just under the arete. Follow the holds up the arete. Tough start and finish with some really great mellow climbing in between. NOTE- this is a brand new line 8/19/18. Helmets, if you're into that sort of thing would be advised. Even after all the cleaning there is probably some loose stuff still hanging on.

. The crux is the first fifteen feet on big lockoffs to positive crimps.

This route is an awesome all out pumpfest! It shares the same start as

Punchbowl Arch

and then continues to follow the arch out left pulling the final roof to the chain draws. The route has permadraws on all but the first bolt. If you are climbing at this grade, it is a must do. The red tag is still on the draw that separates it from

Punchbowl Arch

If you want to take the time to remove it, be my guest. You can own a piece of my backpack! Kneebars, finger crack, undercling, drop knees, pinches, crimpers, and jugs - this route has it all! A side note: it's not worth stopping to remove the tag.

The crux slaps you in the face at the fourth bolt.

This route has three good rests. The first one is on a small ledge between the second and third bold. The second one is a small cave, between bolt 3 and 4, that allows for a no-hand rest. The third rest, if needed, requires a bit of a detour to the left of the route below the second to last bolt.

This is a nice bolted extension to

Mouse

(5.8). Be careful for sucker holds. One cruxy move not far above the Mouse anchor will lead to cool mini-runnels on gray rock. Clip 3 bolts after the

Mouse

anchor to the top anchor. It is fun if you are there.

route. The crux is the first move with another tricky sequence midway. It has great rock but is too short.

This is a closed project. Bolting is not yet complete.

The crux is pulling through the notch over the bulge. The rock has a popcorn texture (ouch!), and the crux is way harder than the rest of the climbing, but will clean up with more traffic. I think it's pretty hard for the grade.

A fun warm-up gives way to awkward traverse. Folks should know these easy routes are on this side of the canyon.

Mouse has short, not very steep, climbing through a big ... of a chunky dihedral. Folks should know there are other warm-up/easy climbs on this side of the canyon.

This is a really good route, reminiscent of the

Project Wall in Rifle

. It may be 11d/12a.

Start with slabby climbing up and right. Get established on a small, right-facing dihedral/gigantic sidepull feature. Pull up over this and up and left and over a bulge with some positive holds.

This would probably fall under #3 for the Punchbowl area. Probably one of the best sport climbs in the universe. Crux is linking the moves on the roof and holding it together enough to pull around onto the face for more great technical climbing. I'm surprised this hasn't been sent yet, and the line is beautiful and inspiring in the midst of such an enchanted setting. Very intimidating as well. It may be harder than 13...

Currently the first route on the left of the overhang, this amazing 11c starts from a sketchy belay, going to a large block that may fall off in 50 years. There is a glued hold just above the first bolt. The 3rd bolt starts the move to the right. A jug seems to magically appear whenever the holds run out. You may find yourself pumped out and epic-ing by the time you get to the somewhat of a downclimb crux near the last two bolts. Gain a good side pull, then jug to the last two convenient open gate anchors with a third bolt between the two with a biner. It's pretty sick to end 30 feet to the right of where you started, getting lowered past your belayer into the air of the huge open Punchbowl.

Turds in the Punchbowl climbs the tan-colored buttress to the right of Drive By Shooting.  Despite its proximity to its neightobr, the rock here is not nearly as good as the stone to the left.  There are pockets of excellent limestone, but there is also a good bit of spooky choss.

The line begins with a difficult, thrutchy crux on shattered rock, to get established in the low corner.  Easy moves up the steepening corner lead to a nice stance right on the prow.  The desparate crux follows, moving over the slight bulge via rounded sidepulls.  The juggy horizontal break above is a great relief.  Move up easier ledges on brown rock to the poor anchor.

This was put up in 1997 on bolts and gear.

This is fun on the face through 3 bolts, then you traverse right and back left for some sneaky jugs (watch your left foot going over the 3rd). You can start all the way on the ground but will probably need to use the left stack at some point before the 2nd.

The name, by the way, may be off; I just wanted to get this on the Project, so people know there are easier climbs on the Punchbowl.

Begin liebacking a crack feature. Clip the 3rd bolt, and start crimping your way up to the "baseball". The climbing eases up on the slab.
