The Wild Whisper is a long, aesthetic, and demanding edging route. This beautiful pitch is riddled with naturally sculpted finger buckets, substantial crimps, and the occasional rest. Perhaps not a route that you would want to do every visit, but it is an enduro crimp haul and makes for a memorable onsight.Start on the same holds as Up Drafting, but quickly turn the corner to the right on the juggy diagonal rail and the first bolt to your right. Crimp your way through the "stone ripple" section with big feet, and then get ready to tech your way up the gorgeous scoop face which is as good as edging gets.At the break at 45' take a good shake cause the crimp fest continues above until you join the 9th bolt of Clear Air Turbulence. Up Drafting is an eye catching pitch, loaded with bomber rock, unique terrain, and technical climbing for the grade. Add to that some sweet exposure on the arête up high, and you've got yourself a deluxe warm up, that you maybe should have warmed up for.... 

  Start on large jumble of boulders in the center of the wall. A couple quick moves up a distinct rail leads to the first bolt. Enjoy the sculpted holds on the dual arête, then move left. Scamper up to a sloping break. 

  Some clever stemming, and then some engaging moves on the right arête lead to a final boulder problem. Pick your way to the anchors.

Destined to be a classic, Clear Air Turbulence, starts out with an in your face V3, Gloria’s style boulder problem. The pleasure begins in the obvious stem dihedral above.This 30' long dihedral might as well be straight outta J Tree which features very thoughtful sequences past smeary knobs, and a few laser cut holds. This section is about as good as stemming gets for a mid .11 grade.

 Enjoy a good shake after the stem test, then launch into a skyline full of crimps, finger buckets, and a few amazing solution pockets over the final bulge. A beautiful long line with a lot of technical and turbulent climbing.

The Whisper Wall is a complex of enticing stone, shapeshifting angles, and majestic colors. A near constant whisper of wind whipping through the canyon, on all but the calmest days, helps remind you that this is a full mountain venue. 

  This area is actually just up hill and east of the Main Wall, and might take a five minute walk/scramble to access the base of the wall. There is a very rudimentary trail.  

  Routes range from 85' to 100', though do to the nature of the crag, having a 70 meter rope is a real advantage.
