Spiderman's Route

Crux is through the roof low on the route. Nice easy face climbing above.

The crux is getting into the off-width weakness to pull through the roof. Once through the off-width, it's easy climbing to the top. 

  Jamming in or pulling off of the features on "Wish You Were Here" to gain the off-width drops the rating to a 5.8.

Fun traverse that starts on the right side of the prow.  Climb up near the arete on ok holds until you are underneath the giant roof.  Plug a piece or two in the horizontal and make the crux move, traversing left along the crack underneath the roof on delicate feet until you are at the other arete and a jug.  Place another piece and start the traverse left towards the cub scout cracks.  Keep moving left on good holds while placing nuts and cams on the numerous cracks on the boy scout ledges, until you end up near a nice gully to the right of "Wish you Were Here."

This climb is to the left of the roof (The Prowl) and split with crisscross cracks. Pick a line and go. Starts tend to be the hardest part.

Good beginner route.  Less than vertical, tons of holds.

Fun climb up the face and then around to the left of The Prow.  Some crack to work and a nice corner. Crux is the final move across the prow.   It's right off the path to the top of Sugarloaf (about 40 feet) so you get a lot of watchers.  Be careful how you setup your anchors, other climbers have mentioned biners on anchor ropes disappearing into the hands of hikers/schoolkids. You are right next to the Cub Scout cracks which are great for beginners or to learn place gear.

Climb the lower face of the Prow on the right to the roof, move right and finish on the upper slab on the right side.  A few vertical cracks make this section doable.  Reach left with hand and foot around to the front of the prow.

Climb the very large roof at the right end of Boy Scout Ledges. As far as I know it's only been done using creative aid techniques. I also don't know if any one has yet to free this climb. 

  There are super small holds under the roof, and the lip is no where near as good as you would want. should you want to try your hand at freeing this climb. 

  The rating was given because the original FA party having technical difficulties to overcome and having to use innovative techniques to make it up this climb. 

  It should go with out saying, bolts/hammering anything into the climb is prohibited.

Boy Scout Ledge is a short, wall sliced by vertical and horizontal cracks with a prominent pointed roof sticking out the right side. While most climbs are on the easy to moderate side, this area hosts one of the hardest rated aid climbs; Spiderman's Route (a.k.a. The Prow). 

  This is a good area to take newbies.  You will often find groups here. Anchors consist of trees and boulders, however the Prow can accept medium size gear.
