Up In Smoke

Pull the bulge at the start then follow a more mellow bolt line to tan anchor.

Climb the 5.10 route Up In Smoke, and hold on for some burly thuggery 40 more feet to the top of the cliff on some rock perfectly engineered by the gods.

One of the best 5.10a’s at TN. Starts with a slab not to take too lightly, starts up through the face to transition to sequency moves through and to the top of the dihedral. Wiggle through some weird 3d traversing, then finish on big huecos that aren’t *quite* where you wish they were. 

Climb the left side of the Dark Side arete to the top of the cliff above the Up In Smoke anchors. Progressively steeper to the finish.

This line ascends a moss covered slab on some red rock. Above the slab the mood steepens on good holds over a bulge and left into a basin. Climb the orange rock on the left arete to the anchors above.

Climb a large red flake up into tome white rock with hidden features to a chain anchor.

Mossy slab (help scrub if you can) leads to some 3d climbing onto a rest point. Then the route gets steeper as the holds get bigger. Finish on tasty huecos with a not-so-easy clipping stance at the anchors. 

Cruise a few slab bolts into an arete/chimney depending on how you read the rock.  Pull ever steepening moves on good rock up the grey face.  Ends at chains before the much harder extension Sumer Wind.

“Right of Pavlova climb an easy slab to a bench with a small oak tree. From here the route becomes progressively more difficult as you climb higher. The technical crux is getting on the upper face. On the face the route becomes much steeper while the obvious big holds fade to holds you cannot see.”

Climb up the grey face using some elusive holds. Ends at a chain anchor.

Home to the classic Pavlova, with a good number of 5.10 and 5.11+ climbs.
