Climb the cool slab arete next to the trail.

SDS on the obvious low jug. Move up-and-left through slopers to top.

Climb tall arete on block just right of Bark Biter.

Same as Right version, but avoid the hidden hold.

12 Feet. Climb the crack on the right side of the arete avoiding the generous corner on the far right. Really really really watch out for that tree. Above 1/2 of the way up, any fall you make will result in an unwanted slide with your back down the tree, and eventually face planting back into the rock.

Climb the face and thin crack just left of Broken Pottery Left.

Climb up the slightly overhanging wall on good holds.

SDS and pull up on large hold and move left to thin crack.  Fun and tricky.

This is a fun body tension problem. The minimal feet combined with a great hand rail makes this climb strong for the grade. Bring your muscles!

12 feet. Climb using both sides of the arete. There are hidden holds on the left side, and you can use some of the holds on Venus Rising (route 59).

Climb up right side of slab, really fun and a good warm-up.

Start with good sidepulls, hike your feet and throw for good hold.  Exit right.

Start seated and use good face holds to a rounding top out.

Start on ledge in right corner of "cave". Climb hand crack and hanging corner to top.

Start sitting on a tree on the left side of the spotted cow wall, left hand on a good hold, right on a sidepull.  Traverse low into the start of spotted cow center and finish it up.  The last move is a kicker.

Venus Rising is a nice problem on rounded rock. Pull up from a stand start on the undercling with strenuous moves to the top of the arete. The left arete is off but doesn't really seem to be tempting with the flow of the movement. A sit start adds a number to your 8a card, if that's your bag.

From a sit with your left hand on a slopey sidepull and your right on an undercling, climb up the face through a pocket hold.

Across the slight gully left of Shawn's Slab Arete. Climb up over center of the bulge. Avoid using the obvious, large, hollow-sounding flake (labelled "DEATH FLAKE" on the topo photo) on the left.

Start on chockstone in the back of the "cave". Climb the wide crack to the top.

SDS on large hold at the bottom of the wall. Work your way up the thin face using a glassy crimp and some awkwardly placed feet. Throw for a good flake, breathe, then fight your way up a slopey topout.

Same start as Left and Center variations, but move right.

From a sit, with your left hand on the lowest part of an obvious slopey shelf and your right on a good spot low on the arête, pull on and climb up and right out of the corridor.  A confined problem with fun moves.

Start seated near the left arete of the boulder. Use the wide crack for a few moves and top out.

Climb up pillar with good holds.  Good one to climb up for scrubbing the top of VR.

Stand start with decent holds and traverse right to top. Fun, and a good warm up.

Start from a crouch, with your left hand on a low side pull on the left side of the arête, and your right on an obvious low side pull on the right.  Pull on and climb right wards to an easy mantle.  Spotters beware.  Detached blocks are not used for feet.

SDS on shelf with right hand on good side pull and left on a sloper on the face of the boulder. Mantle and climb up the face. The arete is off. No credit if you sit on a crash pad. 

  Admin adds: It should be noted that this is an SDS to Boulder right of Bark Biter.

Long reaches with thin feet. Do not use either arete. Start on balancey slap reach heigh for two jugs, move feet up the slick surface, reach high right for amazing pinch, work the feet high, and top out.

Starting up right side of face, find hidden hold and move up and left to top.

The left arete of Shawn's Slab. A few fun moves to the top.

Starts in the cave to the right of the V1 slab.  Starts left hand on the sloper shelf in the center of the wall and right on a wide pinch near the right arete in the back of the cave.  Traverse left to the arete.  Continue up the arete and top out.

SDS on the obvious low jug. Move up-and-right through pocket to top.

17 Feet. This isn't in any published guide but it's a pretty fun problem. It's located right next to Bark Biter. Start on the small platform at the bottom and climb up the face starting with a hidden hold pointed to by the green arrow. Aside from the start, stay off the left arete. Using the hidden hold, probably a V0-V1. Without using the hidden hold will be a bit trickier, probably V2. Sorry for the vague ratings, I suck at rating climbs.

This is a nice bouldering area with a high density of high-quality problems.

 These problems are just above the trail (west of the trail, but east of the ridgeline).  Be courteous to the many hikers who pass through here.
