Straight up this one do not wander right and fall on the rock. Do not wander left to climb  the crack. Crimps to under clings and side pulls to more crimps to shallow sloppy one or two finger pockets and then the sloper fest starts for ten more feet to the top.

Climbs cracks and sidepulls straight up pretty, steepening face with a crux fingerlock move at twenty-five feet. Start to the right for an easier approach to the crux. "Yeah buddy!"

Left most route of obvious 3 route rock. all crack till it runs out and then its find your own holds. this one does not have a nice landing to jump from like its other two partners Courage and wisdom

Fun overhanging jug hall with a very fun crux at the top

Staying on the arete the whole way will bring you ten ft up to your first very small left hand crimp. You must use this and a smear to throw to the slope on the arete and keep body tension as you stick and bump up every move on this climb start to finish gets progressively harder with the top out being the crux.

A fun slightly overhanging route with good holds throughout, an awesome sitting spot 10 feet up, and a scary roof finish. Try to avoid the left wall as much as possible, for a more fulfilling climb.

Great low crux for those who have super pinch strength and a sustained bit of rock climbing follows.

Classic must do confidence builder for the microwave

Find your way from a comfortable start in a person-sized depression on the right. Head up and left vaguely following an angled crack while slightly overhung to the top of a roof/block. You can jump from the comfortable height here or go to the top of the formation up an easy low angle to the top for a higher jump. Shallower towards the right. Plenty deep where the climb goes.The pinch and surrounding holds can get really hot in the sun.

Fun route starts great on some fun holds with great feet then goes out to a left side pull and things start getting spicy.

Fun warm up climb as you are heading deeper into the canyon.  There are a few good options for jumping off, and you can keep going quite high if you're interested in getting some more air time.  Starts just left of the tree and goes pretty much straight up.

There are a bunch of ways to get up to the roof and pull it straight under up the crack, easy face line on the right and up left the dyno or the big right traverse. You pick it they are all about v2.

Fun Climb starts on a positive triangle and a right hand mono with good feet up to an side pull that you fall into off the fun shapes your on.

A nice 11a water solo across the creek from the 45 degree(Bump to Conclublahblah). Wander right to a seam/crack system and follow to a ledge at 40ft. Sustained with some crafty sequences.

This test of balance is a great warm up for classic V4 Nice Guys Finish Last.

Fun climbing up  jet black patina'ed rock face. The patina is broken down low giving a somewhat interesting, but secure start. As you climb, the patina shows less sign of weathering. Near the top the holds turn to sidepulls and give you a little puzzle near the top. Easily one of the more fun, but tall moderates in the canyon, and with a shorter than usual paddle-approach

Look for the "bear claw" pockets at the start of the route. Climb straight up through varnished scoops that lead you under the capstone. Once under the cap, move left onto the exposed white rock with black varnish features for the last ten feet or so. Top out left of the summit cap.

Start just around the aerate and immediately work your way to the main face but not to far as the first few feet are lay back with your body leaning right. get to the top of the first landing then jump or go to the second landing.  a Third if your brave

The middle of three routes. half crack half crimp. sweeps to the right to a landing where you can jump from. The Landing has a first level, a second slightly higher and a third more sketchy and higher landing if you so dare.

An easy way for newer Deep Water Soloists to get up high. This route climbs the arete right next to Oil Slick, and offers a more straightforward way to reach the top of the feature. The crux is the first or second move off the raft, followed quickly by a full body rest and an easy (5.6ish) romp to the top

Boating upstream from McHood Park, the rock climbs on your right side will be listed here in the West Side. The first outstanding climb - Yeah Buddy - is on the right side. Not a great warm up, but by the time you get back there at the end of the day you'll be too spent from cranking, paddling and swimming all day to have the motivation for it. Get on it now if it's on you're list. Other West Side classics further upstream and not to be missed are Full Value, Bear Claw, and Last Day of Summer.
